What is DC SchoolConnect?
DC SchoolConnect provides students a safer alternative to get to and from schools for elementary, middle, and high students enrolled in a public and public charter school in Wards 7 and 8 via dedicated buses for students in grades K-12.
The Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) was tasked by the Executive Office of the Mayor to launch and facilitate the DC SchoolConnect Program. The DFHV collaborates with other District agencies and stakeholders including District Students, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) and Public Charter Schools (DCPCS) to ensure that this program is efficient and successfully implemented and managed.
